• Greeley Campus

  The Greeley program is designed for students who are looking for a traditional graduate school experience. Classes are primarily offered once a week over the course of the semester. The majority of the courses are scheduled during the day (Monday through Thursday), and evening/weekend classes are the exceptions rather than the norm. Most students are full-time graduate students (taking 9 or more credits a semester); however, part-time enrollment is an option as well.

  An active chapter of the counseling honors society (Chi Sigma Iota) and Leadership Fellows

  Offer elective coursework in play therapy that can lead to the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential.

  Faculty members’ offices are primarily located on the Greeley campus.

   

  Access to a state-of-the-art training center, the Psychological Services Clinic that provides mental health services to UNC students and the community.

• Denver Center and Loveland Center

  At the Denver Center at Lowry and the Loveland Center at Centerra, courses are all offered in a weekend format. These programs are designed to meet the needs of working professionals.

  Classes are offered in an intensive weekend format and students take one course at a time over two weekends, typically with a weekend in between. Courses are held Friday (4pm-10pm), Saturday (8am-5pm), and Sunday (8am-4pm). Most students are full-time graduate students (taking 9 or more credits a semester); however, part-time enrollment is an option as well.

  The Denver Center and the Loveland Center are conveniently located off-campus centers. Courses are offered by department faculty with the support of UNC Extended Campus.

  About our off-campus programs

  Earn the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential following graduation and requisite experience. 

  Participate in an active chapter of the counseling honors society (Chi Sigma Iota) and Leadership Fellows that are very much a presence on campus

  We host professional development opportunities for students, assisting with new student orientation, leading service events, and serving as liaisons with the faculty.
